Valerie has a bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from the University of South Florida, where she is also planning on obtaining a master's degree in Gender and Women's Studies in the Spring of 2016. In recent years, Valerie has spent significant time studying and interning abroad
researching human rights violations, particularly that of those that occur within Bahrain and Latin America. She dedicates the majority of her research to focusing on the sociological and physiological aspects of why mass atrocities occur and how to prevent them. Upon certification of her masters degree in 2016, Valerie plans to obtain a law degree in order to promote change on a policy level in becoming an international human rights attorney.
